AVOID
ReplyDeleteBrakes not fixed after 3 attempts and lots of shillings later.
If you’re a white expat (like me) avoid this place. I say this as when you visit you’ll see that it’s a thriving business, so it’s a conscious choice on the part of the owner/managers to offer poor service to non-locals.
Sadly this is not uncommon with mechanics in Kampala.
Basically you get the gold star treatment initially, someone picks up and returns your car, and with us on the first return of the car, the owner Moses came too. The work is great, car ticking over like a watch.
Then with subsequent visits the quality dips. Pick up is delayed for hours, then days, as for some reason there’s no-one available, so you end up taking the car yourself. The work also declines as per our experience with the brakes which remain problematic.
